Washington DC Rally

Very Important – Day of Action
A follow-up rally for Jobs, Justice, and Peace will be held in Washington, DC on Saturday, October 2nd. This rally is supported by many different organizations, including the UAW International. Arrangements for transportation and necessities, such as food, are in the organizational process. You can sign up for the rally at the Union Hall. You must pre-register to secure a seat on a bus! As the final arrangements are made, we will put the information on our web site, http://www.uaw599.com. It is time for all Americans to stand and demand that Washington take action to bring our jobs home.
There is no way to put into words the importance of letting our voice be heard. There will be dozens of reasons (excuses) why people cannot or will not attend. The fact is this will not be an easy trip. It will definitely be hard on a person to make the long ride back and forth. It will take most of a complete weekend. Our way of
life is being assaulted on many fronts and we need to fight back. I, for one, will be there with my family and friends to tell Washington lawmakers and corporate executives that we are sick of them trying to turn us into third world slave labor. Get involved or don’t complain when all gains made in this country for working-class
people are gone and the jobs have all left for foreign soil.
There are 2 options; you can ride down and back the same day or ride down and spend the night. You MUST pre-register for both options. There will be a rally at the Mirror Pool at 10:30 AM and a Rally at the Mall from 1pm until 4 PM. For more details you can the Union Hall at (810) 238-1616.
