RE: health care
her plans look liks a mishmash of stuff just like we have now. we need a single payer, not for profit health care system. paid for by payroll taxes both to the employee and the employer. not for profit - no drug advertising, no deductibles - a program similar to medicare which works if they get enough money. 1.5 (or whatever the rate is) percent is not enough.

everyone is entitled to medical - not just the very rich and the very poor. who determines "affordable"?? What is affordable for members of the senate sure isn't affordable for me.

single payer - government pays the bills, private doctors provide the service.

if your wages were $50,000 and the payroll tax was 4% - you would pay $2000 for medical, as would your employer. Heck i pay about that much now - with GM UAW medical plan. what we have now in the US does not work.

RE: health care
People Hate Change so this is an easy sell for the Republicans. No is an easy answer but if you say no and don't have a plan to put forth then that should speak for it self. To get a health care plan in place it may need to be several plans to start with. Then the plans can be combined or replaced as it all comes together as one plan..

RE: health care
"Everyone should be allowed to choose between their current coverage or options among public or private providers"

do you really think this is going to happen? the minute there is choice - do you really think GM or other employers are going to continue our health care - or are they going to dump us and say fend for yourself.

single payer - not for profit. medicare for all!

RE: health care
I don't thing we will get dumped into a new health care plan. At least not at first. I think any new HCP will start as a basic plan then build from there.

RE: health care
ain't gonna happen - those better than us people in congress are going to shoot down anything that may be good for the citizens. they are slinging around all kinds of rabble rousing stories - it will cost trillions in the next 10 years (i heard maybe trillion with out the s) never mind that we spend trillions like 2 now!

i feel that nothing will change - except we will pay more and more and more. thanks congress!

heard today that there is a clause that will have medicare counsel the elderly every five years on how to die and get it over with according the the republicans. fact check says that every five years those on medicare can have counseling on things regarding their old age - living wills - get your papers in order - living and dying with dignity - don't say nuttin about ending it all. the lengths they go to to scare the people. what are they so afraid of?

a pox on all their houses!
